MyBlogLog picture feature improved by Flickr

mybloglog_flickr.jpgHere is the first sign of Yahoo’s acquisition of MyBlogLog. Now you can add your Flickr photos to your MyBlogLog pictures page. In case anyone doesn’t know, Flickr is another Yahoo property.

I have already pointed out how primitive the MyBlogLog picture feature was. The integration with Flickr is a good start to make MyBlogLog profiles more customizable. You could use your own profile not only to publicize your blog(s), but chiefly to let others know more about yourself and make new friends.

Anyway it’s clear that not all MyBlogLog users have Flickr accounts and this will lead up to a wave of new users to Flickr, and thereby to Yahoo! This is just one of the mutual benefits coming from the deal between the two companies.

“this will lead up to a wave of new users to Flickr” and vice-versa? Maybe Flickr users will join MBL as well..

You are right ilker. It’s sure that the benefits will be mutual, and not only regarding traffic.

Jessica, don’t be jealous. Ilker is a MALE. Have a look here to see his real aspect! :P

And there was you saying Yahoo! would be slow to change! ;-)

Yeah, it’s an easy addition to make, but for it’ll be a real boon for them and their friends.

By the way: I’ve been really busy recently, and I’ve just not been able to get around the upper ‘blogosphere.

I might explain the reasons for my absence in more detail shortly…

Wayne, I’ve been really busy too, because of exams, and I’m still now. I will come back surfing the blogosphere (and your blog) soon. ;)
