Here is the first sign of Yahoo’s acquisition of MyBlogLog. Now you can add your Flickr photos to your MyBlogLog pictures page. In case anyone doesn’t know, Flickr is another Yahoo property.

I have already pointed out how primitive the MyBlogLog picture feature was. The integration with Flickr is a good start to make MyBlogLog profiles more customizable. You could use your own profile not only to publicize your blog(s), but chiefly to let others know more about yourself and make new friends.

Anyway it’s clear that not all MyBlogLog users have Flickr accounts and this will lead up to a wave of new users to Flickr, and thereby to Yahoo! This is just one of the mutual benefits coming from the deal between the two companies.

Todd, John, Steve, Scott and I are pleased to announce that Yahoo! has brought MyBlogLog into the fold.

What will happen now?

Yahoo! is going to put loads of resources into MyBlogLog and help us roll out a ton of new features. Plus, we’re moving to their infrastructure, which should help with those occasional slowdowns.

We are not going to become one of those corporate casualties that never make another step forward. We are hard at work on the custom communities and soon everyone will be able to skin their community to look like their own blog or site.

Well, great!! There are some interesting new features coming up! Moreover they have in mind to expand the potential user base significantly by allowing users to log in with their Yahoo IDs.

I’m curious to know how they will solve the spam issue.

After that Google acquired YouTube, it won an important battle in the war against Yahoo and Microsoft to conquer the wwworld (and the blogosphere).

But now Yahoo is revenging to Google buying Biz, an online karaoke and contest site, creating instability in the Biz team. Not satisfied, Yahoo is also buying MyBlogLog, a blog community and analytics tool.

Someone is wondering “what has it done with del.icio.us or Flickr since Yahoo acquired them?”. Virtually nothing…

I’m wondering “where is Microsoft?”.
